Very Welcoming Place, Great Service
My friends and I are visiting the Dallas area and decided to watch the Rutgers Pitt game at Frankies.
Highlights:
1. Very cute waitresses, very welcoming and always smiled.
2. Cool layout TV's everywhere, indoor outdoor seating and pool table
3. Food is very good and well presented
4. Drink and food prices are very reasonable
5. Bill the owner and his staff really know how to make you feel welcome. Bill is hillarious and introduced us to his staff and to his regulars, really made us want to return often.
6. Satan's piss, was recommended by Bill as a "drop you on your ass" shot and it definately did the job, my friend had 2 of them was feeling "Good", the rest of the night, lol.

Probably the best sports bar in Dallas
Great place to watch the game, get some good food, or get involved in a game of billiards. There is usually a good crowd of people, and the place feels lively. Good bar and good service.

Good Bar, OK sports bar
Frankies is a good place to watch a game if it is a big or local game that lots of others will be watching, but is not a great sports bar for say a college football saturday with lots of games all over the country that you might be interested in. I love Frankies for watching big Mavs games but there are better places to go to watch out of region college football and basketball games.

Love love love Frankies
I have been coming to this place for years. Not only are they great for sports, but the food isn't bad either! Actually the food is GREAT. I went in the first time and had nachos. Talk about 'scary' nachos! I found out that 'scary' is a good thing to the younger generation when it comes to food :) . I recently went back and they were trying out a salad bar. I would eat here every day if I could. They have great pizza, burgers and a great salad bar too now! How could you go wrong? Really, there is something for everyone here :)

The Owner Gave Up His Chair For Me
Being from out of town, I asked around for the best place to watch the Lakers Celtics game 3. Frankies was the unanimous recommendation. When I get there at game time every seat, inside and outside, is full. So, I ask the friendly guy sitting in the center of the bar wearing a Frankies shirt if he knew how an out-of-towner could get a seat, have a few beers, and watch the game. Bill Katz promply offered the two seats that he and his female companion were using for my buddy and I to watch the game. A very classy - and uncommon move. From there, the staff was flawless (and heavy handed with the Jack pours) and I had a great time. Reasonable prices, great staff, tasty food, and lots of nice people there. Cheers to you guys!

Most for your Buck
#1 Sports bar in the US...During the summer sitting on the patio for Sunday Funday is the way to go. They show all the UFC fights so get there early ( 2 hours in advance) otherwise you will be standing with your beer bucket in hand. Every food item is HUGE...so always share. Every Cowboys, Mavericks, Stars game the owner ( big bald guy with flag) gets the crowd pumped up for each game and it feels like your at the stadium or arena. The wait-staff is friendly and will accomodate, like getting extra chairs from the basement. Even the busser speaks english and will get you that extra ranch. Oddly, they have a bathroom attendant, but hey, atleast it's clean. My girlfriends and i go there to watch the games and the drinks are stiff and we leave happy. I highly reccomend this place to anyone who just wants to have a good time. Thanks Frankie's!!

You can get it done at Frankies. Friendly excellent service, good food & beer, fast free wireless, sports, babes and parking, coming from a traveling man, couldn't ask for more!
Nice neighboorhood, real people, a unique menu which kept me having fun while working. I would suggest the "Jimmy the Greek Salad, and a tailor made pizza.

Nice upscale sports bar by Veronica L. at InsiderPages
Frankies is a very nice upscale sports bar. Still all sports, but it's not divish with a bunch of meat heads sitting around. Really cool patio and you can take the Mckinney trolley to it if you're local.

Service with an attitude
Great place for about everything. Beward of the nachos seriously scary. When the girl says a full order feeds 5 shes not lying. Great place to go even when theres not a game.
Service is horrible, like most bars in the area. Not enough wait staff and the ones they have act like they are above serving.
Bar tenders are cool, sit at the bar to avoid the disgruntal waitresses..

best of the best
Frankie's is the ulitmate haven for those who love to eat great food, catch the game and be submerged in an ambiance such that you do NOT miss your couch at half time. By the way, your girl won't be left out. She can order her fav cocktail while someone else is grabbing the beer and cleaning up after you. This joint rocks! Check them out, and you'll go back for every game.

Best sports bar in town
Frankie's is wonderful! When I go there, I feel like I'm going to my best friend's house to watch a football game. The atmosphere is great. The bartenders remembered my name after my first visit. The owners are always around and come by to chat when they can. Everyone who works there is so friendly. The food is awesome - great chicken nachos, wraps, sandwiches - and the portions are huge. There are tons of TVs, so you can always see from wherever you are sitting. Parking is never a problem. I think Frankie's is the best sports bar in town!

Holy TV's Batman!!!
As the title of my review suggest this place has tons of tv's! I usually hang out in north dallas at another sports bar which will remain nameless(Champps). I heard of this place through some friends of mine that had apparently been hanging out there for about two months. I like a variety of sports but I gotta say my favorite is college football. HOOK EM HORNS!!! We got there about two hours before the Horns game started and the place was already packed! Luckily my friends had the foresight to reserve what I later found out was called the "Pimp Room". I gotta say I felt pretty important being in there with its own 50" Flat screen and separate receiver and sound. It also had leather couches which were pretty comfy. I have to add that the food was awesome and the portions were a bit overwhelming! There were 5 of us and we couldn't finish the full order of combo nachos. Seriously the thing was effen huge! There were two things that stuck out in my mind (other than the tv's). The waitresses were all HOT! And after only being there for a couple of months my friends seemed to be on a first name basis with all of them. Even the bartenders. I thought that was cool and it made me feel kinda like I could become Norm and this was my Cheers. Anyway, great food, hot chicks, huge tv's, stiff drinks, and they have all the sports packages so I can watch any game makes Frankie's my new home away from home.

My New Favorite Bar
This year is the first year I have be unable to secure tix for the Shootout but I didn't want to miss the party. I asked the hotel to recommend a sports bar and they sent me to Frankie's. This place was packed but, man, let me tell you, I may never go to another game--I had more fun at this sports bar! Even though the place was insane hours before the game started, these hot little servers in ref shirts cut through the crowds using whistles and made sure EVERYBODY go their food and drinks fast! It was a little rainy and the only room left was on one of the patios so this big, bald guy comes out (I later found out he was the owner!) and builds a 20' awning right in front of our eyes! I saw him later cleaning the restrooms himself. For as busy as this place was, the whole staff did everything they could to keep everybody happy. It had a good mix of both 'Horns and Sooners fans so I didn't feel like an outcast. I went back the next day to watch my Rams (get beat up again) and they had them on one of their 100 or so plasmas and a little box on my table so I could hear the game. I've been coming to Dallas every month or two for about the last 6 years. I don't know how I managed to miss this place. The food was great, the service was great and there was PLENTY of "scenery" other than sports. Out of all the sports bars I've been to (and not just in Dallas) this is THE ONE that I will always come back to. It's like the ultimate blend of Sports Bar, Restaurant and Hang-Out Bar. Keep up the great work guys! See ya in a couple of weeks. -WJ

Best bar in Uptown!
Frankie's is an awesome bar not only to watch sports but to just hang out with friends. They have great service and really good food thats is not your average bar food. It's very relaxed and friendly and the staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcome. If your looking to watch sports this is the ONLY PLACE! Lots of plasma TVs and all high def. The patios offer great people watching in the heart of Uptown plus they have large plasmas on the patios as well. I would highly recommend this bar to everyone who wants a great place to party or just have a casual drink with friends.

Lots of Screens
Lots of screens, not a bad seat in the house. Lots of smokers, prices are ok for this part of town. not good for conversation during a game, they usually have the sound up pretty loud. Foods good. Bathrooms are nasty.

Free Pizza on Tuesday nights
Great bar, drink prices are a tad higher than other bars but you are paying for location and locals are who frequent this sports bar. Lots of screens, great patio space, beautiful chrome seating outdoors, great salads, an especially great deal on the house salad. Great and friendly service.

Absolutely the best chicken nachos in town, but be warned, the full portion is practical joke large. Get the half order and you will still be shocked, but at least you only need 2 people to finish it off. Food tends to be pricey for bar food, but selection is vast, quality is amont the best, and portions are large. If you want to attempt to be healthy, subsititute their excellent artichoke and olive filled house salad for the fries, you will not regret it. Parking is never a problem as there is a free 4 story garage in the building, can't beat that in uptown!

eh. by c s. at InsiderPages
so some friends of mine go to frankie's every tuesday for free pizza. overall, it was pretty fun, we (a group of 7) bought some beers, we ate some greasy pizza, and sat outside. it was a good time. pints are priced as expected: in the $3-5 range, and on tuesdays, they have free pizza if you buy drinks. however, our waitress was incredibly rude and she actually called us fat. we asked for anything but sausage, and plate after plate (plates have 4 small slices) of, guess what, sausage. we were with a big guy and he ate it happily, but she seemed to be really annoyed when we would ask for more. i would recommend it if you're with a good group of people--otherwise, you might not be able to deal with the service.

This is a GREAT spot with awesome TV's and atmosphere. The service is lacking a bit and sometimes the beer is flat but overall it has great potential. Just don't drink draft!

Even Better
Previous review must be old because they have over 25 TV's and two huge, 10' projection TV's. The food was great--much better than the other sports bars. It's cigarette & cigar friendly but didn't have that smokey smell because they have some sort of filter system. Great jukebox--has everything--but they still play the sound to big games. Also, Free Parking garage. They need nore signs because you can miss it if you aren't careful. It's hidden by trees and blends in because it's part of a huge high-rise apartment building.
